About BWG
Giving opera singers the opportunity to coach, rehearse, and perform a full Wagner opera, off-book, with a complete cast since 2018.
BWG aims to help dramatic opera singers learn new roles and to bring the operas of Richard Wagner directly to audiences and underserved communities through innovative planning and performances of full operas and concerts. BWG auditions, selects, and trains opera singers in a holistic manner, filling the unavoidable gap between conservatory and a career as a Wagnerian singer.

What We Do
BWG presents complete performances and concert highlights of Wagner operas in semi-staged format, utilizing traditional and non-traditional venues, breaking down barriers to give audiences the unique opportunity to hear and engage with Wagner’s operas, and Wagnerians, up close and personal.

Leadership
Founded in 2018, BWG operates as a collective collaboration - performers share both costs and profits associated with the full process, from first rehearsal to final performance. BWG provides the infrastructure for singers to rehearse complete Wagner operas. BWG handles all scheduling, cost divisions, venue requirements, casting, and marketing.

In 2021, Berlin Wagner Group, Inc was created to become a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization sister organization in New Hampshire in order to expand outreach and opportunities for Wagnerian singers and bring the operas of and operas influenced by Richard Wagner to the New Hampshire/New England area.
